10 or 10E

Postby GM8GIQ » Thu Apr 26, 2018 7:36 am

Question came up in conversation, can you tell a 10 from a 10E without opening the box ?

Is it possible ?

Hi Chuck,

I believe you can identify whether it is a 10 or a 10E by looking at the firmware version in the Hardware Config menu tab of OpenHPSDR. The ANAN-10 firmware will be in the 3.x series which is also used by the ANAN-100 rigs. The ANAN-10E firmware will be in the 1.x series which is also used by the Anan-100B rigs. This assumes that recent firmware has been loaded into the rig you are looking at.

Chuck

If you turn the 10XXX over you can tell if it is a 10E or not. A 10E has a small slide switch in the center of the bottom cover. The 10 does not.
