PSDR load times up over 600% on new i9-9900K computer

Postby w4arf » Mon May 06, 2019 12:19 pm

Hello all...

I have been running powersdr-mrx for a long time...Had one the first anan100d I ordered from India.

Anyway I have built a new computer and I am having a compatibility problem with OPENHPSDR mrx PS V 3.4.9.

I have been running the same software driving a ANAN7000 on a i7-6820HK with WIN10 SATA SSDrives with no problems for almost a year. Load time for the Software was about 5-6 secs.

After loading the same software on the new i9-9900K with on motherboard NVMe RAID-1 drives running WIN10 Pro... with I believe a direct channel to the i9-9900K, load times have shot up to 37 secs. This is running on a Gigabytes Z390 motherboard running WIN10 Pro takes 37 secs to load Powersdr MRX on the new machine. I did a un-install of the software and deleted the flex dir and did a complete re-install with no change after the re-install....Still 37 secs to load powersdr. PSDR itself seems to run fine with a CPU load of only 1-3%

There is one weird anomaly and that is the PSDR windows ICON shows the shield on the ICON. This is suspected to mean it is a administrator only software..... ie normal user can not load it. I am the only user on the machine and I do log on with admin privileges on both of my machines but I do not get the shield on the older WIN10 home machine PSDR ICON.

The only thing I can figure is some kind of compatibility issue with the onboard NVMe RAID-1 setup or conflict with WIN10 PRO. I would not think the i9-9900K is the problem as Windows 10 should make the CPU invisible to powersdr. All other software runs great and the drive performance is over the top...It like having everything in RAM...The difference in performance is greater than going from Hard drive to SATA SSD. Now if I can just get this loading problem fixed with PSDR I will be a very happy camper with the new machine!!

Any and all help with this wold be greatly appreciated.

Regards and 73
