I want to install my foot switch via the DB25, can someone confirm 100 the pins to attach it to on the DB25 plug and also what setting if any I need to change in PowerSDR to operate the radio via the foot switch.
Radio is an Anan200D
Foot switch is home brew with 2 wires, just on or off.
Thank you

Re: Foot Switch Install
I use the rear panel DB25 for PTT with my 200D:
Connect one lead to pin 13 (PTT)
Connect one lead to pin 21 (Analog Ground)
When the connection is closed between those two pins you will transition from RX to TX.
Note that pin 25 (Analog Ground) can also be used for the ground pin instead of pin 21 if desired.

Re: Foot Switch Install
Have it wired that way but switch not operating TX on Anan200D, is there a setting I need in PowerSDR?

Re: Foot Switch Install
Enter Setup and General and HardwareConfig and check the box for PTT, then it should work.

Re: Foot Switch Install
It is also possible that your mating connector is not fully mated with the chassis connector. The chassis connector is a front mount connector that they improperly mounted on the rear of the panel. You may need to use an adapter, or modify (shorten) the connector locking nuts in order to ensure full engagement of the pins.

Re: Foot Switch Install
All sorted now with all your help, and yes I had an issue with the DB25 plug not going all the way home because of the fixing nuts, all sorted now.
One thing I noticed is if I TX with the space bar I get a few more watts out the radio so I had to adjust the TX profile to compensate when using the foot pedal, not sure why I see this.
