System is Win10 Home Version 1803, VB-Cable Driver pack 43, Psdr 3.4.9.

I have tried: deinstall vbcable and new install
Reset Database, load an older Database
Install Psdr with the Option Repair
deinstall my Audio controller

nothing helps, i am out of all now.

What can i do?????????????? Please Help

Since the latest major Windows update, version 1803, a change to privacy settings is required in Windows for certain applications to access the Windows audio system.

Go to Privacy Settings.
Select Microphone.
Turn on the main permission "Allow apps to access your microphone".
Individual apps can be turned off in the bottom part of that settings window, but the main permission must be turned on.

Quite of few people had this problem. However I'm guessing most people already had that access turned on (it is by default) and so did not have any issue with the 1803 update.

You are, however, the first person to ask about it on the forum.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but there is an additional issue with Build 1803 and later.

There is now an additional "Sound Settings" dialog that sets both recording and playback volume. The issue you may have is low audio levels on both recording and playback:

(1) Right-click on the sound icon on the taskbar
(2) Click on "Open Sound Settings"
(3) You can set the system default devices in this dialog

NOW SCROLL DOWN...

(4) Click on "App volume and device preferences". Yet another window will appear with new, per-app "Master Volume" sliders for both "Output" and "Input" devices.

Also, I'll add a footnote that if you're having trouble with (for example) a very brief, intermittent drop/recover in carrier or audio levels, (depending on what type of SDR you're working with) you may want to disable "CPU Throttling" in your power plan. I've had to do that with my i7 and Xeon -based machines using recent Windows builds. Doing this will prevent some audio devices (especially USB-connected) from glitching caused by interference from the power management code.
