FlDigi Configuration with PSDR

Postby A65BK » Sun Jan 28, 2018 7:07 am

Hi Team,

Can anyone help me to set up Fldigi for running CW with my Hermes and PSDR ??
I tried, using Hamlib for Rig control in Fldigi, using one Com Port from PSDR (Com 14) . Com 24 in PSDR paired with Com-14 using Com-0-Com.
When I press Tune or T/R in Fldidgi, I get CW side tone from speaker, Radio keys to Tx mode. But Power S meter shows 0 watts and finally no power out from Radio.

In Hamlib used Radio TS2000 and Com 16 as Device. Com16 paired with com26.

In PSDR DSP/CW : Primary - Radio ; Secondary - COM14 ; PTT- None ; Key line - None.

Attached a screen shot for reference.

Hi All,

I notice that if I select DIGL/U in SDR screen, I get power out.
Is that the correct way ??
If I select CWL/U, power out is zero.

Look in Setup/General/Audio
Under the Virtual Audio Cable Setup you'll see "Auto Enable".
Turn it off.

DIGU (or DIGL) is the correct, and ONLY way with Fldigi unless you build an AFSK external keyer. The reason for this is because Fldigi only implements AFSK CW, i.e. CW using audio tones. Therefore it cannot be run semi or full break-in UNLESS you implement their so-called QSK interface. See here and here (always best to read the manual ;) )

If you want to send and receive machine CW, there are much better choices, including CwGet, CW Decoder and MRP40.

Dear Mike, Scott

Auto option already unchecked here !

In DIG mode, the CW decoding is not happening well. S I need to try some other option.
Since my CW capability is very litle, I need to have software support . hi

As I wrote, there are much better choices...

CW Skimmer is the best for reception, by the way. Absolutely phenomenal how much better it is than all of the other choices. No transmit facilities, though, only receive in CW Skimmer.
