Solved! Pure Signal Does not work on Protocol 2 - 7000 MKIII
Solved! Pure Signal Does not work on Protocol 2 - 7000 MKIII
7000 DLE MKIII - recently received and works well with protocol 1. The protocol 2 firmware, Metis_Orion_MkIII_CV_P2_v2.1.12A.rbf, loads and runs on the MKIII hardware, but the Pure Signal will not function. It seems as if the radio does not monitor the signal like it does with protocol 1. This functions the same with Thetis 2.9.0.8 and Thetis 2.9.0.16. Any thoughts?

Hate to see you go backwards on firmware revisions, but try 21.7 and see if it works any better for you than 2.1.12A:

I had the same problem first time I installed P2. It turned out I had to press Default and change the value in SePk. Should be 0.2899.

How do you think it got changed from the defaults?

P1 had a different SetPk value that I don't remember. This was several months ago. After installing P2 the old SetPk value was still precent. Clicking Default changed the SetPk to 0.2899 and PS was working fine again.
How and why I don't know.

Clicking on "default" , the SetPK value changed to .2899 from .4072. PS now works correctly. Thank you for the help!

I submitted an Issue on Ramdor's github repo for this since Thetis
should be keeping track of the proper SetPK value for P1 or P2.

Another P1 related disaster
Why on earth couldn't we have left it behind when we had the chance?
Re: Pure Signal Does not work on Protocol 2 - 7000 MKIII
There are still a lot of units out there that predate the ANAN-200 that might be best served by running P1 firmware. It's a good thing that they are not left behind. This is a comparatively minor bug, with an easy work-around, and not something that really worth vilifying continued P1 support in Thetis with.
