Hi All,
Here is some new Beta firmware available to fix a QSK bug.
Background of QSK bug:
https://community.apache-labs.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4532
This Beta firmware is only for EP4CE and 5CEFA FPGA equipped hardware.
See here for info on how to tell which FPGA your ANAN-7000 or Andromeda has:

I have installed the beta above and have been operating most of the day with no sequence errors. I able to run at 768000 sample rate Pure Signal on.

Re: ANAN-7000 & Andromeda EP4CE & 5CEFA P2 Beta (QSK Fix)
I got my new 7000DLE MK2 or 3, whatever the model is... here on Good Friday, I have been having many sequence errors with the suggested firmware for the 5CEFA.
This is what Tony said was in my radio when I emailed to ask. I have not tried opening the case and looking for the chip.
I have the network tweak engaged but my Anan is on a switch and runs through the router... I did assign it a static IP but for now it is not on a dedicated second network card, (may have to go that way) the switch says it is running at gigabit speed.
I tried to load this new firmware but my bootloader program v 2.0.4.4says to use this file it must be used as a jtag programmer? This sounds like I am close to doing something I might regret?
Did you use bootloader as a jtag programmer to install this file?
Think I might have to wait and put up with continuous errors and freezing TX audio for a while longer.
BTW I am running an I7 proccesor with 16 gig of ram and win 10 OS.
It receives without hanging up but some errors pop up on the screen one of which says seq error 256 mic ? It was doing this before I even had my microphone hooked up to it.

I saw the name on the file was different than the other one I had loaded, I am using Bootloader so I will ad the metis_ and see if it wants to play ball with me.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Were you seeing that 256 mic error with yours? I also see seq error 8 ddc2? I guess I need to uncheck the auto clear so I can catch the red writing when it flashes on my screen.
Still loving the receiver here even with the glitches, but I can't begin to transmit with this thing freezing up and filling the log with sequence errors.

I have been receiving on multiple bands for over an hour with the new QSK fix firmware loaded and not seen one error pop up on my screen... Transmit testing is next but this looks promising while nothing else I did to my network connection seemed to make any difference.
Thanks to all involved in development and to you Jay , for the tip on the file name.

half hour later:
Well, I can now transmit without boatloads of errors being logged but after a few transmissions the errors during receiving have returned.
seq error (256) mic
seq error 8 DDC2
Still a huge improvement!

Hi Robert try using 768000 sampling rate. I still get errors at the highest sampling rate but stable at 768000. Goto setup then General, then F/W Set and select sampling rate for both.

Check out this website if haven't yet, http://www.w1aex.com/anan/anan.html and are you running the latest software? The one with the meters?

Re: ANAN-7000 & Andromeda EP4CE & 5CEFA P2 Beta (QSK Fix)
Hi Jay, Thanks for the info and yes I am running the newest pre release with the cool meters and such. I am just getting back into the SDR Transceiver thing after retiring my Flex 5K in 2010. I had some experience with power SDR back then but I am trying to get back into the swing of all of this.
I spend 1-2 hours reading this forum and checking the web before an evening of tweaking the software. Got many hills to climb before this rig can take over all duties of my shack but I'm sure that it's up to it, the question is.. am I up to it? I'm 62 now and my processor is slowing down a bit.
Much to learn and I can see this things have progressed a great deal since then.

I'm a month ahead of you with this radio. I am still learning lots. Good bunch of gurus here. Forum is a great wealth of info as long as the people continue with their problem solving to a conclusion. My new challenge is rf all over the place in the shack. Let me know how it works out.

Re: ANAN-7000 & Andromeda EP4CE & 5CEFA P2 Beta (QSK Fix)
I have noticed that running version G on an EP4CE 7000 DLE Mk2, my noise floor is about 10 dB higher in Wideband in receive than it was on the original C release. And, that during XMIT the noise floor bounces around from -120 to -130.
Is this related to a timing issue and is there anything that can be done?

This video shows in the first section operation under release C, and the second half shows under release G.

Re: ANAN-7000 & Andromeda EP4CE & 5CEFA P2 Beta (QSK Fix)
EDIT: Correction, I got confused with the versions
With 2.1.12:
The situation worsens heavily. As soon as it is turned on, Error 8 constantly appears in RX.
As soon as I send, many other errors appear right from the start.
It's impossible to get working, so I went back to 2.1.7. Now I run 2.8 of the P1 without problems
P2 on on 2.1.7:
On RX no problem with any level of sampling, even for hours.
In transmission, everything is fine at first and this could make it seem that everything is working for those who are not accustomed to transmitting for a long time.
Unfortunately after the first 15-20 minutes of QSO "Sequence error: 267 (CC DDC0 DDC2 Mic)" reappears.
Unlike the last version of FW P2, this one has only one error code (267)
Some alerts don't noticeably interrupt the flow, but most do, so i can't ignore them.
Forcing the transmission for a long time, the first warnings are only about every 20" of TX, then keeping in transmission the frequency increases and occasionally the error number changes too (8).
Keeping in TX for a long time you also get to have an error warning every 3-5"
I emphasize that it only occurs in transmission, with all sampling levels, where in theory the flow load is much lower than the RX part
The fpga is the cyclone V / 5CEFA (Anan 7000 MKIII), the PC is new just built (I9 13900KS- Ram DDR5 6600Mhz - Asus chipset Z790 ProArt Creator Lan 10GB/s).
Switched back to protocol 1 for the second time, which works fine.
Could there ever be a permanent solution?

Problems associated with long TX times are often related to thermal issues. You could try adding more cooling to the unit.

Re: ANAN-7000 & Andromeda EP4CE & 5CEFA P2 Beta (QSK Fix)
I hope this is not the case, not even the worst Chinese manufacture would have certain defects. However, I would feel like excluding it, since I made the long transmission times at very low powers (not even 1w) and with the P1 the problem does not arise
