Hello,
I'm trying to start linHPSDR in WSL, but no HPSDR device is found.
I suspect it is due to the network configuration.
In WSL, for eth0 172.30.253.10 255.255.240.0 is used.
Since the real network is in 192.168.178.x area, the real SDR address is 192.168.178.43.
Internet under Linux is not a problem. Access to Win10 computers in the 192.168.178.x network is also no problem.
WSL resolves all addresses correctly. Ping and Traceroute are working.
Any suggestions?
With Thetis I can connect to 192.168.178.43 (Red Pitaya SDR) from all Win10 computers on the network.
here is the current attempt to start.
The Android variant openHPSDR cannot be started in the Android subsystem either.

Re: linHPSDR in Windows Subsystem for Linux
WSL has some crazy rules and limitations associated with the fact that it is a Hyper-V instance running behind a virtual NIC.
I don't know the details per se, but I have a general awareness that you can brute force this. It will require things like port forwarding the relevant TCP and UDP ports, and a script to sort all this out after every reboot because the WSL address will change with every reboot. If you google "WSL port forwarding" that will get you some search results that will start you down the right road.
IMHO it's not worth the effort. Get a dedicated Linux machine, or use dual boot, or just run Thetis on Windows (it has greater functionality anyway).

Re: linHPSDR in Windows Subsystem for Linux
Thanks Scott for answering.
I thought I would just give it a try. I've always wanted to test linHPSDR. Since I don't have a dedicated Linux computer,
that would have been a possibility.
And just to test this, I didn't want to set up a dual boot system.
It was the play instinct that came over me once again.
Of course, I will continue to use Thetis, especially since Richie is working on it.
