I have a brand new 7000DLE MKII (Black Edition) just out of the box. When I connect it to my router I see an IP assigned as expected but then it disappears after a few seconds.
The radio in NOT in bootloader mode. When I put it in bootloader mode and power on, NO IP is assigned.
Any Ideas on where to start?
7000DLE MKII Black - IP Dissapears After A Few Seconds
Re: 7000DLE MKII Black - IP Dissapears After A Few Seconds
I could not get DHCP to work so I set the IP using the bootloader and installed protocol 2 v2.0.b firmware while I was at it.
Once the radio was rebooted (non bootloader mode) I could ping the IP I set above and Thetis v2.8.11 is now working.
Any ideas on what might be going on with DHCP, where the IP is set then it disappears?

What do you mean by "disappears"? What tool are you using to check the IP? If it is ping, you should know that neither Protocol 1 or Protocol 2 provides reliable ping responses. Chances are it was/is working just fine with DHCP, just not with ping.
Re: 7000DLE MKII Black - IP Dissapears After A Few Seconds
I am looking at the router (RT-AC68U) list of clients. For some reason the IP appeared in the list when the radio is first powered on but then disappears from the list after a few seconds. No issues with ping since I set the IP address via the bootloader.
I will use a static IP going forward - I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced an issue like this.

For the record, DHCP works perfectly here on an 8000 (same board as the 7000) under both P1 and P2 firmware.

Thanks! I suspect it is an issue with the router. Since all is working via the static IP I will leave it for another day.
Re: 7000DLE MKII Black - IP Dissapears After A Few Seconds
I have experience that some DHCP server of routers is not 100% compatible with some devices.
Keeping a fixed IP would not hurt, on the paper.
I am still waiting my 7000 DLE MK2 black and when it will arrive I will check with my Fritz touter.

Hi all
I have (had) exacly the same behaviour on my router (RT-AC66U, same as your's but without modem) : it would show the radio as long it has power supply but when power on is activated it would disappear after some time (for the router to routine scan the network). I don't think this impairs any functionnality. Now I'm using a separate NIC to connect the radio to the computer and by the way this improved only marginally the problem of audio & video dropouts at maximum sample rate in FM with my transverter.
