More issues on RX antenna selection control on console...

If you are out of band on 15m (for example 21.480), when switching antennas using console control, it is really switching ( watch setup antenna/filters) the antennas on the 12m band.

I don't know if this info helps to sort the problem, but I'm using "Region": Spain and "extended" option is enabled.

64 bit Thetis reduced CPU% usage from 3% to 1% (Thetis only usage) at 192k sampling rate. Impressive.
System usage peaks out at 4% with 11 tabs of Chrome, Logger32, Telnet and VSPE running.

Observation:
Switching between RX1 sample rates was seamless with previous version 32bit. Now when switching, audio is lost and power off/on brings it back with 64bit. Not really a problem.

But what PC are you using...

CPU is Intel I9-9900K

Well there ya go haha. No wonder you have such low CPU percentage with all of that going on. Youve got to remember, most arent using ANYTHING near that... You see what im running (In my sig), with 6 tabs open in Firefox, KiwiSDR going, and OBS recording, my System usage is 20%.,, It was around 25% before...

I do the instalation with the .msi installer and it stop starting when message 'initialiazing portaudio' aperar. I have W10 here. I do a reinstall, install again and always fail at the same point. Old thetis 2.7.0 ( a2) work fine.

Same as Jesus, noticed that the FFT window won't make it all the way to the end and closes by it self, if I try to start Thetis, it stops at 'initialiazing portaudio' and then closes.

Don't know. Probably not, there is nothing in the changelog that I recognize as having anything to do with the band stack. Did you check the changelog? Bet you didn't ;)

Whether it did or didn't, you probably should upgrade, and then you can tell us if it's fixed or not. If not, you'll have to describe the problem because this is the first I remember reading that there was one.

32 bit or 64 bit build?

Did you try entirely removing (you can move it to the desktop so it's not lost if you want it back) the Thetis or Thetis-x64 folder here:

All of you with portaudio failures: is this happening with the 32 bit build, the 64 bit build, or both? Both can be installed simultaneously.

Hi Scott and all Others,

2.8.7 and 2.8.8 are running very good, no problems, Setup is running good 32-bit and 64 bit. System is Win 10 Home.
Database is copied from 3.7.0a3, no problem find at this Time.

Very good Work, many thanks to all.

Tried both and they work on all of my machines except one. It's the 64 bit version that is the issue. Same as the other reports. No problem with 32 bit.

EXT CONTROL now missing in the OC Control setup window in Thetis 2.8.8 (see image attachment from version 2.7.0.) That's a real handicap for me, possibly others. I routinely go in and quickly activate/deactivate global OC control with one click to route Orion II RF and some other functions to the back panel for use with an LDMOS amp that requires 0.5W drive. As is, it now requires a lot of "click management" to accomplish the same. Not sure why OC Control is now limited.

I installed the 32 bits version and in my case it work fine, so my case 64 bits no 32bits yes.

W10 pro if it help

Edit: Doug, W5WC say that if processor don't support AVX instructions, 64 bits thetis fail. Mine don't support it. :x

I'm using WSJT-X on my ANAN 100 and I had to drop the audio level in WSJT-X by over 12dB to get the audio level back down to where it should be.
I had just done my power level settings before I upgraded to 2.8.8 from 2.8.6 and noticed my power was maxed out and kept dialing down to get it where it normally sits.

There was a question about Thetis 2.8.8. HPSDR (Ozy USB) is missing in the Setup section of the Radio Model. Is the addition protected in newer versions?

I installed the 64 bit 2.8.8 version of Thetis on a core 2 duo laptop. Processor is T6670 @ 2.2 GHz. Win10 Pro 64bit vers 2004. 8GB ram installed.

When trying to launch, it fails at port audio initialization. 32 bit version is fine.

I did a "coreinfo" dump and it says AVX is supported.

Mike,

Sorry for the bad news but he T6670 does not support the AVX enhanced instruction set. AVX first came out in 2011 and your CPU is from 2009. In your dump the '*' is not beside the AVX feature.

Victor,

Thetis does not support the Atlas based (HPSDR) systems, not even with the recent addition of Protocol 1 firmware support. In 2.7.0 and prior versions "everyone knew" there was no support for HPSDR even though it was in the setup window because "everyone knew" there was not Atlas P2 firmware. Alas, no everyone really knows because that option is no longer on the list.

Thus, unfortunately, those with hardware older than Hermes have effectively reached a software dead-end unless someone want to continue to develop PowerSDR.

There's an error in the "MG;" command. It's returning the dB level -10 to 14 instead of the TS-2000/50S/480 0-255 level and also using -10 to 14 for setting mic gain.
It's OK for the ZZMG; to use the dB level as it currently does since it's PowerSDR specific but the MG; command should be simulating

I'm the Hamlib maintainer and noticed this while testing the new PowerSDR interface that is available in the WSJT-X 2.3.0rc1 now.

1. Downloaded complete 2.8.8 and installed in w10 C:program files.
2. Exported 2.7 DB and imported it to 2.8.8.
3. Everything works fine so far but midi CMD berringer controller does not.
4. 64 bit machine.
Any suggestions?

Bill,

We are going to need more info than "doesn't work". What does it say/what do you see when you go into MIDI setup and look at the diagnostics tab for your controller? Can you see MIDI commands in the diagnostic display when you move a MIDI control?

Don't forget, the MIDI controller needs to be plugged in and not captured by another application prior to running Thetis. DAW software is famous for capturing MIDI controllers.

Running 2.8.9 64 bit with anan 10e Protocol 1 with the tapr pure signal relay board and xtronic coupler.
i do not get any type of triggering or attenuator calibration its like pure signal is not working at all i tested in 3.4.9 powersdrmrx and its still working fine there.

EDIT UPDATE:
I had the radio set to Hermes with Alex once i selected ANAN 10E pure signal started working but now panadapter display freezes on TX and comes back when returning to RX i tested on 192 and 9600 sample rate.
I also noticed if I select rx2 there's nothing but a center spike on the second panadapter im not sure if this is considered a stitched Rx and that's why it doesn't work as noted on the release for protocol 1

Thanks
fred

EXT CONTROL not functioning in 2.8.9. The button is back in the menu but there's no control of the OCs. Deactivating the EXT CONTROL button should disengage all checked OCs but doesn't. The checked OCs are still active with EXT CONTROL turned off.

Can anyone else confirm?
