Has anyone one used a rigBlaster pro with a 8000DLe? If so anything special with the cabling? Thanks.

Re: RigBlaster Pro and a 8000DLE
John,
Why would you want to use a RigBlaster? To do so requires you to leave the digital domain, enter the analog domain, then re-enter the digital domain. This leaves you open to all kinds of RFI/EMI/etc., and requires the provisioning of appropriate cables and whatnot.
SDRs like ours are instead better served using wholly digital connections. Audio connections can be made using virtual audio cable software such as Muzychenko VAC, or, my preference, Voicemeeter Potato (yes, that's it's real name). Similarly, PTT, CAT and keying connections can be made using virtual serial port software such as Eterlogic VSPE.
No hardware required!

Thanks Scott i will have to look into all this. I want to use HRD ,DM780. The only reason I was asking was because I have a Rigblaster Pro here and thought I would make use of it. But going the digital route would make more sense.

I downloaded voicemeeter potato yesterday already was using Eterlogic VSPE. When i get this figured out I'm sure it will work fine. I hope. Thanks.

I'm using all digital connections now . Also using Ham Radio Deluxe digital modes and WSJT-X. Really is great.
