Monitoring of CW

Postby JJ4SDR » Tue Nov 14, 2023 2:33 am

This isn't a real big issue, but I would like to understand why this is happening.

VAC used for audio and to hear the side-tone on CW, I am using a pair of head-phones plugged into the front headphone audio port. This works fine, except when I switch from SSB to CW, I will usually have to "tweak" the TX AF number (either up or down by just 1) on the Transmit form. Not sure why that is necessary.

Below, see a partial view from the Transmit form.

What happens if you don't tweak it?
