Under the Transmit tab in the setup window there is a box labeled "Mic" an inside the box there are 2 controls for Gain MAX and MIN.
What do these controls actually do?
I understand there is a mic level control on the main screen of Thetis.
Please for give my ignorance
Setup>Transmit "Mic Gain"?
Re: Setup>Transmit "Mic Gain"?
Simple, it sets the Min and Max range of that front panel Mic slider.

OK on the G2 it does not seem to control the level for the TRS balanced input.
I guess it's for the 1/8" mic input only?

The G2 mic goes into the same mic input after its balanced preamplifier; so yes those same controls will affect it. The preamp has gain, so you will need a lower gain than for say a dynamic mic.

OK I think I understand now, These adjustments don't control the actual audio level they control the range of the Mic level control on the main screen.
Correct?
Correct?

Yes I see now.
Have a great weekend!

Easy to test and see for yourself how it limits the levels.

Does anyone know what the unity gain reference level for the balanced TRS input on the G2 is?
Normally the standard is +4db or -10db. What is the G2’s balanced TRS input?
