Running two 7000DLE from one database

Postby BPerk » Wed Oct 12, 2022 8:05 pm

I have a 7000DLE MKII running Protocol 2 and v2.9.0.6. I now have the opportunity to acquire a 7000DLE MKIII, which is the new model, running Protocol 1. Would it be feasible to access the new MKIII radio using the same version of Thetis and same database as I'm using with the MKII as long as the two radios were not powered up at the same time? Would there be database corruption? Or, would it be better to upgrade the MKIII to Protocol 2, and operate that way?
Any thoughts?

Thanks

Upgrade the new ANAN to P2 and then you can share the database.

There's no reason not to upgrade the new ANAN to P2. I'm sure you've seen the forum posts on this, right?

Thanks for the reply, Scott. You're right, I'd want to move the radio to P2 anyway, so that's the best plan. I'll go ahead and do that. The only reason I was thinking about using it on P1 at all was to check it out before committing it to the upgrade.
