If you search the forum you'll find there's been some discussion on this in the past, but nothing definitive ever came of it:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2649&p=4533viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3429&p=11498There are a lot of different types of noise, and the software has three NB modes and two NR modes, plus the ANF and MNF features. One of more of those is likely to be helpful depending on the specific noise characteristics. Remember that NB modes are for impulsive noise, whereas NR modes are for non-impulsive noise.
As for changing things in the settings menus, I've never found I was able to make any improvement in performance over the stock settings for the NB or NR modes. However, in my rural location I get very, very few opportunities to use NB, while at the same time I literally never turn off NR2.
The bottom line is probably just try things until you either get the results you want (or not).
