Not sure where the recording went ?

Postby JJ4SDR » Fri May 06, 2022 3:43 am

I upgraded to Thetis 2.9.0.6. x64 (P1) recently and am not being able to find recordings that I make on the air. Have a desktop quicklink to both Quick and Wave recordings and when I click on them no recordings are found in the folders. I know that the recording worked as I played one back into a dummy load. I just can't locate either Quick or Wave recordings now.

Check your 'Music' folder and the subfolder 'Thetis within that. Also the *YOURUSERNAME*->AppData->Roaming->OPenHPSDR->Thetis-x64 for the SDRQuickAudio.wav

All my recordings whether quick record or through the Wave tab go to Users>Myusername>Music>Thetis.

Yes, as noted the Music Folder is where they all go.

But got to ask, why are you still using Protocol1? Does your Apache not support P2???

Gary et al,
Odd, I made a Wave recording today and was able to find it in the Music folder whereas I couldn't last time I checked but the Quick recording that I made wasn't locatable? Not sure what is going on?
The only reason for still using Protocol 1 is that I am "upgrading" in bite-size steps, no other reason  . Will take that step in near future as P2 does bring some benefits, but I am pretty certain that I don't have a good understanding on what they are exactly? Is there a thread that speaks to that? I would imagine that the 10x speed will enable me to also use higher sampling frequencies and smaller buffer sizes that may potentially improve my audio a little (this could be academic unless someone has experience on this). I use VAC and a combo of Thetis processing tools and VST plug-ins inside my "DAW" (VST Host).
Best!

Quick record will be in the Roaming OpenHPSDR Thetis-x64 folder.

Gary,
Thanks for the link to thread on P2.
Quick recordings:
Still no file there when quick recording (before I upgraded to a latest version of Thetis those recordings did save there).
