RX Antenna Behavior

Postby John K2OX » Tue Dec 21, 2021 7:12 pm

I'm running v2.8.11 with P2, Angelia and custom hardware/modified code.

When I switch bands my receive is dead, noise at -145 on the Panadapter. Clicking Mox momentarily brings the receive to life. After that everything is OK until I switch bands again.

It turns out that choosing a different RX antenna and then RX1 also fixes it. I believe the root of the problem is that band changes don't query the rx ant selection until you transmit.

What I need is someone to verify this with standard hardware. I can put a fix in for my code, but if it is a bug, better to correct it for everyone.

Standard hardware does not do this. It is not a bug in the currently available Thetis or PowerSDR release, the public beta of Thetis, or any of the firmware.
