Sorry, but I left some debug info in there on the main panadapter... I have updated the top post with a new version that has it removed.

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
My first glitch this morning, every update from 21a 64bit to 21e 64bit has been error-free. Of course, holding down CTRL to install. But with 21f after the routine, I get Fatal Error with this message when starting up..

Looks like the database has not been updated. Did you get both messages (on first start with ctrl pressed and on 2nd start)?

Is it not time to deprecate both GDI+ and the 32 bit version?
Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
w-u-2-o wrote:Is it not time to deprecate both GDI+ and the 32 bit version?
yes Scott gdi+ is getting ignored now and getting left behind, it needs to go. 5 downloads of the 32bit 21f patch, vs 43 downloads of the 64bit version, so perhaps x86 should stay
@N4QNT did you resolve this? Like Ernst said, it looks like the DB has either not been updated, or is now in a condition that cant be updated. Hold CTRL not during the install (which is just copying the files from the zip over the top of the files in the install folder), but hold it during the launch process when you click/double click the Thetis shortcut. You should see :
followed by
and then after you restart Thetis again
Note: these message boxes may end up behind other windows, obscured, so you may have missed them, and perhaps have now another Thetis running in the background. This issue is on the list of things to fix.

Surely everyone that is running SDR is running it in a 64 bit machine. It would relieve the programmer from supporting two systems. Will the compiler do both 32 and 64bit from the same code or does the programmer have to code two different pieces of software?
I know it will be awhile before Windows 11 is mainstream and Win 10 is gone, but Microsoft said they have no plans for a 32 bit version of Windows 11. If no one is running 32 bit Thetis it may be a good time to put it to pasture.

I get this error when trying to install 21f. It's been smooth sailing until now. I know it states it is the micmute issue. Any suggestions.

I hope that Windows 11 will not become mainstream and hopefully a Linux 64 Bit Thetis with all today's functionalities will be realised. Like ExpertSDR2 for SunSDR2 PRO v1.1.3 (Linux). Of course with PureSignal. That would be cool. LinHPSDR is unfortunately still far away from that. Too bad!

I'd be willing to bet a beer or two that those 5 downloads were by folks who erroneously think they should run the 32 bit version for some unfathomable reason and not because they are running a 32 bit environment.
There's only one way to be sure, and that's to not post a 32 bit version and see what really happens.

Well I have to admit I was one that downloaded the 32 bit version also. I did it because I tinker around with the 32 bit version a bit.
Just tinker. I get bored So the other 4 were erroneously downloaded. If this negates your bet, I'll buy you the beer! Count me out as a serious user. I use the 64 bit version when on the air.

hah yep, it would save a re-compile, a zip, a rename of the zip, an md5 of that zip, an upload of the zip to dropbox, a bitly link, an update to the post. I could put my feet up Scott .... 21g - no x86 or GDI+

Thanks Richie,
All had gone well up to this time on all the updates. I thought that I had followed the instructions, but guess not. I went back and did a reinstall and it loaded as it should have. Makes me feel kind of stupid when stuff like this happens! I'll be more careful next time . Thanks again for all your hard work!!

ah good stuff Mike. Yes, the CTRL thing is not ideal, but it saves having to update version numbers. Thetis could better handle the DB being all out of whack though I must admit.

Ritchie, thanks for fixing the Mic mute button, really no performance issue, it was just an annoyance when using VAC for the Mic.

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
Thanks for the response Richie, yes after the Zip overlay I hold the CTRL double-click thests.exe, got the Blue anyway window saw all the popup windows you mentioned about DB overwrite and Re-start, then after that re=start is when I got the VAC fatal error.. So not the end of the world I'm ready to start with a fresh uninstall/reinstall then I guess I can try again jumping right to 21f I presume?

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
Well, you could rename your database.xml file, this will cause Thetis to make a new one. Either way could you send me your DB. My email is over on QRZ.
the file is in C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Roaming\OpenHPSDR\Thetis-x64 or C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Roaming\OpenHPSDR\Thetis
depending if you are running the 64 or 32 bit version.

Version 21f is working smoothly here Richie. Lots to like with this update but for sure the addition of the gain multiplier in the diversity form is a real bonus here. Nice also that re-sizing the Diversity form no longer corrupts the display of the phasing control. Also, since I am a VAC user for my TX audio chain with all my TX profiles it's great not seeing the enabled MIC button anymore! Thank you for sorting it all out and after testing 21f out for the past evening and part of today it looks like everything I use is working better than ever!

Richie,
7000DLE, P2 Windows 10
21F 64 bit running FB here, the best so far!
I have an unusual quirk that I have noticed since I have been running Thetis from the beginning on my setup.
After Thetis has been running for a while, and the monitor has gone to sleep, I move the mouse, the monitor wakes up and the panadaptor is frozen.
Thetis is still running and the sound and everything else is still working only the panadaptor has stopped.
Only hovering the mouse over the Setup, Memory, Wave etc. tabs at the top of the form will cause the panadaptor to start up.
This is probably an issue with my PC and has nothing to do with Thetis.
Thoughts?
I wonder if anybody else has seen this peculiar behavior?

Hi Don,
I've not had that happen here. Almost all of my quirks have been resolved with a database reset. I always wait to see how many others, if any, have seen a particular issue. Much like you are doing. Good Luck!

Pls check energy saving options of your network-device (=> Device Manager)... could be that the nw-adapter goes also into sleep mode.
Maybe also an USB-device which is taking a nap.
Btw: I have disabled all energy-saving functions on my pc. A simple black screensaver darks the monitors. Of course the monitors are not off and there is some power consumption, but I accept that.
Just an idea

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues
Ernst,
All of the power saving settings are turned off.
I only have a screen saver and the monitor is set to shut off after 30 minutes.
