Spotting Menu Issues

Postby W3MMR » Mon Mar 22, 2021 10:30 am

So, after searching for a while here this morning, I cant find the answers im looking for.

The Grey line/Spotting map... Does anyone know i that will ever be completed? I have never been able to get the spots to show on the map like it says it should. Also, VOACAP has never worked. It just says "VOACAP Propagation map" in the upper left hand corner. Show Memories To Pan has never worked either. Left Click on Left Side of DX Spot + CTRL key to open QRZ page doesn't seem to work along with the other keyboard "shortcuts in the spotting menu. MEMORIES to PAN doesn't work.

However, when you run the Beacon Check, they show on the map just fine and if you right click on a DX spot IN the spotting window itself, it will take you to their QRZ page.

Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone else had this issue because Ive never seen nor heard anyone bring it up?

Thanks and have a great week guys and gals...

Perry,

As far as I know, currently there is no one working on further Thetis development at this time. Remember that Thetis is an open source development created by volunteer developers (not Apache). Unless and until another developer becomes interested, no further development of any kind will occur in any aspect of the software, including the spotting facility.

Joerg,

Interesting. Do you think you could convince DL1KD to start a topic here on this forum to track any further progress he might make?

Thanks,

Scott

P.S. there appear to be no improvements to spotting in his version.

Hi Scott,

Of course I can do that, I will forward this post to Alex. Then Alex can also report here how things are going, but of course Alex has to decide that for himself.

Many greetings

Wow! I love what Alex did here. It's very convenient to have the option to hit the Two-Tone test from the front panel and the PBB and CFC enable/disable ability is also really nice. Works fine!
