Bypass/55mhz hpf not returning to default after closing the WB screen

Postby Cosmo1stgen » Mon Jan 25, 2021 6:18 am

I don’t know if this is a bug but in hermes with alex or anan 100 mode when I open the WB screen in protocol two it checks the bypass/55mhz HPF in ant/filters as I believe it should to allow wb mode. Problem is if you close the WB screen the Bypass stays checked and doesn’t return to where it belongs on the HPF menu. You manually have to go in and uncheck it. I discovered this even after rebooting software because I no longer heard the alex relays clicking. If you un check it and never open WB mode the hpf track with frequency as they should.

Same thing happens with my 7000DLE MKII, Thetis v2.8.11, Protocol 2 (I've noticed it since first acquiring this rig, Feb 2020).

Looks like you found a legit bug. I run in bypass all the time so never noticed it. The third order BPF designs don't provide very much preselection. Most people won't notice any difference in performance when in bypass.

Scott,

I think the easy fix is not to allow you to close the wideband window without clicking a WB button in the software. Like RX2 uses. This way it would always revert back to being checked. But I am not a programmer.

Not a programmer here, either, Ryan!
