Thetis display data

Postby cLicari » Sat Dec 12, 2020 3:36 pm

Can someone tell me what the Hz, dBm and MHz numbers that are constantly changing (circled in red) are referring to?
Thx

I believe the data represents the value of frequency offset from the center of the display, and absolute amplitude or time depending on where your cursor is. It is not useful to me, but I guess it is to some. I wish you could disable it.

Those readouts represent the current frequency and amplitude of the largest signal on the spectral display. The first value is offset from the center of the spectral display. The second number is the amplitude referenced to the spectral display bin width (this is currently broken in Thetis 2.8.11, with the value displayed with a large offset of almost 60dB). The third number is the actual frequency of the largest signal.

I don't perceive any value in these numbers. I don't normally see them because I have PureSignal enabled all of the time and the PureSignal annunciators cover that display.

I guess I was referring to my display, which has PS-A enabled, the data to the left, it seems to be related to the cursor position and displays absolute frequency, absolute level, and offset. I would prefer to have it disabled myself.

I should have mentioned that this data is only visible when Pure Signal is disabled.
