Problems with PTT (Thetis 2.8.11) and Windows 10 pro

Since the update of Windows in October I have very big problems with the PTT. A normal QSO can't be done any more......To the problem....I start Thetis 2.8.11 and switch on the TRX....the PTT works fine for about 2 minutes, that means if I press the tune button or the foot switch the TRX goes on air......after about 2 minutes. after pressing the Tune button or the footswitch the Disaster starts. In Thestis the "Mox" button (or the Tune button) lights up, but the TRX is not switched through, there is no transmission.... .it feels as if there is a loose contact (which is not the case)....sometimes the transmitter gets stuck, so it is not switched off or it does not start at all....... up to Windows 10 version 1909 Build 18363.1198 everything works well......in the attachment you can see my current configuration......who has similar problems or knows an advice?

Are you running Protocol 1 or Protocol 2 firmware? Has that changed at any point in time?

Have you reverted to the previous Windows 10 configuration and confirmed the problem goes away?

Without such evidence I am not convinced the problem has anything to do with Windows. AFAIK you are the only person with this problem.

I am using Thetis2.8.11 with the protocol 2 with an Anan 10.........it was running fine before the update......but I have tested the following:....a )with another PC, same windows configuration as the original PC....also here the same problems......
...a laptop with an older Windows configuration (see appendix)..... here everything works fine......
...a friend of mine has found similar problems and similar things.... he will also comment on this problem here....
...I am no expert, for God's sake, I only described what I noticed or observed.....the only thing I changed was the update of Windows (other things are automatically "updated" with the Window update......Framework and so on)....I rule out a hardware error (errors from relays or Anan 10 and so on) because Thetis 2.8.11 works perfectly with protocol 2 on the laptop (and also worked perfectly on the PC before the update).....

Does the problem occur also with Protocol 1 firmware loaded (Thetis 2.8.11 will also work with Protocol 1)?

How have you connected a footswitch? To the input on the back of the radio, or using a serial port and DSR/CTS? I could understand a windows update effecting COM (serial) port operation but not the connector on the radio.

For me Windows 10 versions above 1909 are a pain in the ass.

I've tried v.2004 and v.20H2 and both are producing lots of VAC over and underflows and audio glitches on a several months old rock solid setup.

Tested v.2004 twice and never found a solution. All problems were solved rolling back to v.1909

Some days ago I installed new v.20H2 hoping all v.2004 problems are solved, but unfortunatelly after more than a week fighting with the OS, updating drivers, tweaking IRQs, latencies, etc... I was not able to find a stable setup for my actual ring buffers settings (3:in 4:out).

Went back again to v.1909 and all problems are gone.

Hello Laurence.....yes i know all that things ....i connected it on J16 Pin 1/2......But I also have the problems when I press the Tune or Mox button in the Thetis program with the mouse......

I too can confirm the problems with Win 10 Home; Version 2009. I have about 1 sec. PTT latency with P.S.
My setup ran with Win 10 Home; Versiom 1909 without problems. I have not changed anything! With Win 10 Home; Version 2004 latencies suddenly appeared!

I connected another laptop with Win10 Home; Version 1909 and everything is 100% OK instantly.

I have also tested everything and come to the conclusion that it can only be due to Win version 2004....?
