No cpu meter after stress test

Postby AG5CK » Sat Oct 24, 2020 5:28 pm

I upgraded my processor yesterday and decided to try an online stress test this morning. I pushed it too far and the system locked up. Now the cpu meter in Thetis 2.8.11 is gone. It shows 13.8v and 25 amps where the cpu meter used to be. Checking or unchecking the "show volts/amps" box does nothing. I have tried a clean install and that didn't work. I connected the Anan to my laptop and verified it was indeed a PC issue. Any ideas?

Thanks Scott. I found some of that Information on other sites earlier today. Putting lodctr /R in the command prompt was giving me this error "Unable to rebuild performance counter setting from system backup store, error code is 5"

I get in over my head pretty fast with PC problems so I ended up running windows recovery. I've been up and running for about an hour and all is well.
