How to use two antennas "on two independent VFOs"

Learning and reading...
Have two antennas.. one 20m and the other 40m.
Want to run the anan 7000 with Thetis displaying both at the same time and being able to tune on each sending audio to left and right ears.

Is this possible?

So far I figured out that one antenna must be connected to Ant1 port and the other to RX2 port. I click "RX2" button and see signals on both... Now, when I click on the TX "icon" on the lower right of each VFO "widget" I expect that pressing space bar will transmit to that antenna. I am hesitant as the back of Anan7000 port says "RX2" and not sure that is going to be treated for transmit.

Don't want to damage anything so reading and asking :-)

Hope I made some sense :-)

Yes.

That's correct so far. And to get one band in the left ear and the other band in the right ear simply adjust the audio pan (balance) controls for RX1 and RX2 as required. So far, so good!

No, unfortunately it doesn't work that way. The design will only transmit out of one of the ANT ports.

I think the only way to make this work close to the way you want it to is to have an antenna switch where you can swap the positions of the antennas, then hit the VFO swap A<>B button. That will swap the roles of RX1 and RX2 and allow you to transmit on the alternate band.

Thanks for the quick response!

That is what I suspected... Surprised as I have been exposed to so much flexibility with this radio + software as to expect that anything is possible :-)

I recently started using a 101MP which has 2 receivers and was surprised to see how I could actually use both, for the 13colonies and other use cases... I always thought the 2 receiver radio was for "other people more advanced". Got into the Anan as I had been curious about it from the software point of view... want to download, build, etc... and figured it could do multiple "receivers" just like the 101d/mp (or the 7610, etc...)

Still learning... and still excited about it though. Thanks again :-)
