Vox

Postby W2SDR » Thu Jul 09, 2020 12:12 pm

I’ve had Anan radios for years now and I just noticed this for the first time this morning. What I discovered is that the the vox level indicator responds to the receiver audio even with NO mic connected to the radio. This means that your receive audio sliders effect the amount of audio going to the vox circuit, NOT the audio that your mic is actually picking up. This therefore means that the audio actually coming out of your speakers has nothing to do with setting up your vox properly. This will make vox adjustment much more difficult if you run high slider levels to your amplified speakers

It does not do this. Somehow you are feeding receiver audio into your transmit path. Are you using VAC, perhaps? If so, then there is something wrong with your setup. Or, and I hate to trot out this old crutch of an answer, perhaps something is corrupt in your database.

What version of Thetis are you running?
