TX Multimeter Issues

Postby W4GM » Tue Feb 25, 2020 1:11 pm

I am having a problem with the TX Multimeter. What happens is when I set the meter to MIC or any other choice, then transmit the multimeter changes back to Fwd Pwr as soon as I key the mic. It was working, but it stopped. I can change the setting while I am transmitting to mic and it works until I unkey, Then when I key up it changes back to Fwd Pwr again. It's like the default in the TX Multimeter is set to to Fwd Pwr. I read something on the forum about this but cannot locate it. Running the latest firmware 2.0b and version of Thetis 2.69c3. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!

Not sure how I fixed it, but got the TX Multi meter working as it should. It just magically decide to start working this morning after months. Thanks MURPHY for deciding to leave me alone !

Thetis 2.6.9 and Orion MK2 FW 1.9
When in CW...
BKIN=OFF and using MOX... the power meter reads what you set it to... I prefer FWD/SWR...
BKIN=SEMI or BKIN=QSK... the power meter continues reading as an S-METER even when transmitting?

Is there going to be a FIX or this???
In SEMI it definitely should read as a transmit meter...
QSK... not sure since it will be flashing back and forth with the CW dots and dashes...

can't test it now so just a guess, aren't those settings saved with the TX Profile settings?

Mike, I believe that the TX multimeter only remembers the meter function you select while the radio is in transmit mode. Try making your selection for the TX meter while the ANAN is keyed.
