Receivers

Postby ww1ssradio » Sun Jun 21, 2020 11:35 am

I am running a Anan 7000dle with protocol 2 and SDR Console v3.0.23. I have 4 receivers brought up. one on 40m, 2 on 80m, one on 20m to monitor my favorite frequencies.

When I select the 40m receiver the other 3 are blank. It appears the bandwidth is not wide enough to receive 80,40,20 at the same time. Is this a limitation of the radio . . . SDR Program or a setting somewhere that I have not found.

This is a limitation of the software, i.e. SDR Console.

There are 7 DDCs (direct digital downconverters) instantiated in the firmware. Each can operate at various IQ sampling rates of up to ~1.5MHz, which, because they are sampling I and Q, equates to 1.5MHz bandwidth. So theoretically you could cover a total of 10.5MHz instantaneous bandwidth in 7 chunks.

Both PowerSDR and Thetis can display up to two DDCs. Not sure about SDR Console but apparently only one.

With PowerSDR or Thetis you could therefore cover your two 80M freq's, and then either the 40 or 20M freq. You would need to assign both RX1 and RX2 to ADC0. Don't forget to turn off your preselector (BPF).

Return to “SDR Console”
