Hi, newbie here using OpenHPSDR and a 7000.
Is there any way of seeing an oscilloscope-type display of the received (and/or transmitted) RF waveform?
i.e. the RF envelope before demodulating.
Useful to check modulation depth etc. At the moment I use an external scope to monitor and set up my mod, but it'd be great to be able to see received waveforms.
Thanks

RF Waveform display?
Re: RF Waveform display?
There isn't any such feature in the software.
You will find that, referenced to the DAC output, the metering and adjustments are very precise. I.e. at 0dB ALC you are fully modulated, and the AM carrier level is precisely adjustable in Setup > Transmit. I used to use a station monitor oscilloscope and found that those adjustments, and PureSignal linearization, did a far better job of setting up the radio than I could do just eyeballing the oscilloscope display.
