Cecil,

This is not a 7000 specific issue, it's specific to PowerSDR (or Thetis, same thing), i.e. the same for all radio hardware, so moving the topic to the PowerSDR subforum.

For frequency calibration, turn off ALL receive processing (NR, NB, etc.), select DSB, and tune in and zero beat WWV, then press "start". Eventually the calibration factor should settle out. Or, if you wish to do it manually, rather than pressing "start", select the "phase" display mode and manually fuss with the calibration factor until you make the phase display "spin" as slowly as possible.

I'm not very familiar with the level calibration. I strongly recommend not playing with it. I think that if you have a calibrated signal source you will find that the calibration is already very close.

Thanks...

Maybe someone has some other input on the level calibration.

I used an XG3 signal source. Easily done when using it.

I found as Scott pointed out very little difference - for the majority of users I'd suggest leaving it alone as its close enough - surely much better than other radios! (my Ftdx5000 I use to own literally changed 2 S units with 2 db change in signal at the very bottom of its scale!)

I used the XG3 at -73dBm level (S9 on HF) as well. Please bear in mind that the level accuracy of the the XG3 will be in the range of +-1.5dB or so. Good enough.
