Ptt in needs activating on 7000?

Postby gw0gei » Tue May 22, 2018 5:24 am

Hi
I have finally round to plugging a footswitch into ptt-in socket on the rear of my 7000 but pressing the footswitch doesnt put the 7000 into tx. I have also tried another footswitch.

Am i missing something in software that needs to be activated for the ptt in to work?

Thanks

I use a FS exclusively with my 7000, the only thing is under Settings > Hardware Config > Hardware Options do you have PTT On selected?

Gary hit the nail on the head. PTT needs "activating" on ALL openHPSDR architecture radios, meaning all ANAN series radios from the 10 to the 7000. The rear panel PTT connections and the front panel microphone TRS connector are connected in parallel where PTT IN is concerned. Any rear panel PTT IN connection is only active if PTT is turned on in Setup > General > Hardware Config. If you have PTT turned off in Hardware Config. neither will work.
