Hello and Happy New Year for 2018 !
I am with ANAN 100D (Firmware 5.9 & OpenHPSDR 3.4.7) and I wanted to calibrate the power with the help of a bird and a load.
I set all the bands from 160 to 6 meters without problem (reading on bird and comparative with the measure PA VALUE) except the 10 and the 6 meters I had to increase the PA Gain severely to have 100w for the 10m and 100w for the 6m ....
I find myself after calibrating the wattmetre to have incoerences (normal thing) on the 10 and 6 meters ...
Example setup Ant/filter "mode Manual ( filter hpf for 10 & 12 meter identical)" :
160m: in 29mw> 101w ok
80m: in 24mw> 100w ok
60m: in 24mw> 100w ok
40m: in 26mw> 100w ok
30m: in 31mw> 99w ok
20m: in 35mw> 99w ok
17m: in 41mw> 100w ok
15m: in 45mw> 100w ok
12m: in 58mw > 73.3w ,,,??
10m: in 50 mw ! > 72.9w... ?
6m: in 102mw> 88w ... ?
Example 2 setup Ant/filter "mode firmware ( filter for 15 & 12 meter identical)" :
160m: in 30mw> 101w ok
80m: in 24mw> 100w ok
60m: in 24mw> 100w ok
40m: in 27mw> 100w ok
30m: in 31mw> 99w ok
20m: in 35mw> 99w ok
17m: in 41mw> 100w ok
15m: in 45mw> 100w ok
12m: in 58mw > 104w ok !!!
10m: in 50mw ! > 73w ... ?
6m: in 102mw> 88w... ?
In doing these tests I get the impression that the 10 meter band filter has a problem.
I switched to manual mode and changed the frequencies to have a the firmware mode, and I have the same impression that the 10 meters filter could have a problem.
The power in 6 meters is also at 100w ..?
Have you had this kind of problem ...?
Best 73,
Thierry

Re: Power level problems ANAN 100D bands 10 & 6 meters, additional information Part 2.
Good evening,
,
I disassemble the Anan and I checked the filters the continuity is correct and as a precaution I redid the welding on the filters 6 meters and 10 meters, identical result.
I have against removed the self L24 ( juste behind the filters) to insert a wattmetre / ros-meter to see the ros before the filters and here is my results:
Firmware mode filters :
- 160m 1.850 100w ros 1.25
- 80m 3.600 100w ros 1.2
- 60m 5.375 100w ros 1.3
- 40m 7.100 100w ros 1.7
- 30m 10.130 100w ros 1.15
- 20m 14.200 100w ros 1.5
- 17m 18.120 100w ros 1.15
- 15m 21.225 100w ros 1.3 ( filter 15+12 )
- 12m 24.940 100 ros 1.7
- 10m 28.600 90w ros 2 ! ( Bird after Anan 100d > load = 50w ! ros 2 !
-,6 m 50.200 15w ros 1.5 ( No 100w on this band Anan open = hf return )
Manual mode filters :
- 160m 1.850 100w ros 1.25
