Wave File Recording??

Postby Bill in Georgia » Tue Apr 11, 2017 1:23 pm

Anan 200D, 3.3.9 .... am looking for information on how to adjust the in and output levels on the Wave File Recorder, when one makes a recording/or playback
The is a TX level adjustment but running it from +70 to -70 makes no difference in either level.

Hi Bill,

I recently recorded a DX station and played his audio back : I was surprised because the level was very low compared to my
audio from the microphone preamp (10 w vs 100 w output). I do not remenber having had this issue with PSDR 3.3.9. (i'm now
under v 3.3.15).
I also wonder if there is an adjustment to compensate for the level of a recorded audio in order to drive the transmitter output
at sam level as from the mike.

May be some one has an idea.

Make a recording .... then put the recorded file into playback..while it's playing bring up the Wave File Drop Down ..on the mid-right you'll see a TX adjustment...while the file is playing adjust the level to match you voice TX level ...
Should be OK ... TX adjustment will not work unless a audio file is playing!!

Thank you very much Bill !

I set the gain on recorded files as you told me. I had to put 8 dB more to acheive
equal levels with mike modulation & recorde files

Now every thing is OK. :D

Also ..the master and both individual audio gain controls have an effect on the input level to the wave recorder..
