Anan 100 12v power rail?

Postby Stu » Mon Feb 12, 2018 9:13 am

Hi All
I'm looking at the schematics for the 100W PA/Filter board and the Hermes board.

The PA board has the 13.8v power in and has a couple of regulators for 5v and 6v etc but there is no 12v Regulator.
As far as I can determine it uses the 12v power rail from the Alex header and therefore from the Hermes.

So does that mean the Hermes 12v regulator is powering all the filter board relays etc.
Or am I missing something ?

Thanks

Stu,

You have it 100% correct. All relays on the PA/filter board are powered from the Hermes and its on-board 12V regulator.

It's a bit odd, to be sure, but you have to remember that the original Hermes and Alex boards pre-date the ANAN series radios, so things got kind of strange in places as Apache made decisions on how to architect their designs.
