Building Apache 100W PA/Filter board need resistor values?

Postby Stu » Wed Feb 07, 2018 10:20 pm

Hi All
I'm building the PA/ Filter board form the Anan 100 /100D /200D.

None of the schematics I have show the resistor values for R30, R31, R32, R65 and R66 .
On the schematic they are marked as TBD or TBA (To be announced/decided)
Can anybody tell me what these values are?

Thanks
Stu

Hi Stu

R30-32 is a simple pi attenuator (3 dB is far enough). This attenuator fixes the input impedance of the amp to 50 Ohm. So, this section is not mandatory, but it could improve the general performances of you amp (but divides by 2 the input signal level

R60/61 is a divider for a second input.. or an exciter output. I've no idea of the necessity of such a input or output port. It probably could be used to drive an EER module/amplifier power supply. But I could be wrong

by the way... how did you manage to put a hand on an amp/filter bare pcb ?

Ok thanks for the info.

I acquired a complete Anan 100 case with the bare Amp board and a bare Hermes board.
Both boards had the external connectors soldered in but that was it.

When together it looked like a complete Anan 100 externally.
I guess it was an early display only unit.

I have a working Hermes board so would like to complete the unit with the Amp/Filter

Hi Stu
You've been lucky finding this amp and filter board.
for almost the same config (using a bare Angelia board), I had to redesign the whole filter set, switching and power supply.
But that's the way I love ham radio :- D

I haven't decided yet what kind of amp I'll use. Probably an SSPA palet. But it certainly won't fit in an Anan case

Thanks again for the infos. Wish you good luck for your final assembly
