This is happening more frequently, probably still a timing issue. 5 times in 3 weeks, in Thetis ver 2.6.6 and 2.6.7, P2 ver 1.9, either the RX 1 or RX 2 panadapter noise floor goes full scale. You hear floor noise, but its very evident that reception has stopped. It seems to occur as the transceiver transitions from TX to RX. 4 times on RX 2, 1 time on RX 1, captured here.

I'm guessing its a firmware issue, I don't know for sure.

I am getting some real weirdness when I use S-ATT vs ATT on RX2. As I roll through the S-ATT from 0 to -31 the RX2 spectrum noise floor varies by 30 or more dB. But if I PTT the noise floor will recover to where it should be, until I adjust the S-ATT again.

If I use ATT and adjust I do not have this issue.

Other than your RX2 issue, which may be Thetis related, how is 2.0 working for you?

No RX2 max rise of the spectrum so far, whether it is related to the spectrum level changing with PTT when in the S-ATT mode is unknown (and unknown really if it is P2 or Thetis.

It may very well be 2 separate issues we are seeing that causes the spectrum level to rise and fall drastically.

Pre release 2.0 stable after 6 hours of operation so far, no panadapter noise floor rise. RX2 Step Attenuator continues to exhibit its anomaly as noted by Gary NC3Z.

I am running a 7000DLE. Good question on what worked well last as we have had a few Thetis and firmware updates over the last couple of weeks it is hard to say.

Jeff, do you still see the S-ATT issue?

The S-ATT issue persists on RX2, in fact the 10-20-30 db steps don't seem to behave as expected either.

Also, 5 hours of continuous net control operations on 40 meters this morning, with no spectrum jumps on FW 2.0 (Orion MKII)
