Hope this is usefull for newbee's and VOM's 
The Apache forum link to the Orion MKII firmware is wrong.
Using a dropbox link is not recommended. Whose dropbox is it? Is it guaranteed to always be the latest?
WinPcap will still work but, yes, Npcap is probably preferred.
There is no discussion of Windows network metric settings or the use of Ethernet switches, either of which, if incorrect, could cause the process to fail.
IP addresses do not matter at all for Bootloader. Bootloader only uses raw Ethernet frames. IP addressing must be correct for Thetis to work, of course.
