Installed new 8000 ,connected through router to my Linux box (linHPSDR) very happy! Next I connected to PowerSDR (Win 10) direct connect
no router, works great again!Played around a little no transmit just receiving, very pleased again! Then I started to manual calibrate unit ,got
as far as 40 meters .....blew fuse ( didn't turn gain lower enough). Replaced fuse ,got dreaded "no hardware is it connected and wired ".
After several minutes I checked Win network info no sign of 8000 at the Ethernet device, wired to router ,radio not showing up in there either!
Nic on rear of radio lights lights up and Data looks like it it activates it (NIC data light), when Power button pressed on PowerSDR software. I've
tried all remedies but bootloader option, any suggestions ? Thank You

Just guessing: perhaps the normal firmware got messed up when the fuse blew. If that is the case then Bootloader is your only salvation.
Take a look at the stickied threads here on how to download firmware and how to use Bootloader. Reload the firmware and make sure that the IP address of your radio hardware is set to 0.0.0.0.

Re: New Anan 8000 lost connection....HELP
Dear Scott, Which Protocol programmer do I need, the radio is stock from the factory? Thanks Jack
Re: New Anan 8000 lost connection....HELP
Jack,
A stock radio will come with protocol 1 installed so the HPSDRBootloader would be your best option if you have already tried the HPSDRProgrammer without success. If you have not done so already, be sure to read over Scott's excellent post regarding the dependencies (bootloader switch and WinPCAP installation) that must be addressed before running the HPSDRBootloader:
https://apache-labs.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2333
Copies of firmware can be downloaded at the link below, however, please read Scott's post here to avoid a truncated firmware file:

Thanks Scott and Rob for the timely response, coming over from Flex this is quite a learning curve.I was initially thrilled with the unit
and software but I'm a little disappointed in losing my NIC from an unrelated fuse failure,I hope this isn't a common occurrence! Jack

Re: New Anan 8000 lost connection....HELP
Dear Scott and Rob thanks for the help, now an update! I moved the radio to a work area and I was looking at the rear of the unit and noticed
the bootloader switch was not off all the way.Cycled switch on and off, applied power and started software all is good! Jack

That was easy!

I think that has happened to all of us at least once Jack. Glad you got it sorted out.
