Issue when pinging radio

I have an Anan200D and tried to upgrade the firmware from 4.8 to 5.2 but had load of problems but thats another story.
Reason for this post, if I ping the radio continually I can’t use the radio as I get packet loss and the radio locks up from time to time. I just thought I would post this incase someone else is upgrading their radio software and pinging the radio at the same time, if I knew this it would have saved me hours.
