Filter width and Pure Signal

I was just reading an old thread (see below). It appears to be focusing on digital modes so my query is likely completely irrelevant. Prue Signal does an incredibly effective job at cleaning up the transmission and I doubt that a lot of "improvements" could be done that would really matter in real life. This notwithstanding, does the thread below have any relevance to skirts that one can see when DUP and PS are engaged?

It does, but it's a little bit of apples and oranges. Transmit passband filter configuration is a primary component of managing TX output. You can think of PS as being another layer on top of that. They don't interrelate, one does not depend on the other.
