coupler to buy
Re: coupler to buy
If you are not home-brewing your own coupler, there is effectively only a single choice on the market, and you have found it: the Xtronic XDC-4. It comes in a couple of varieties, as you noted you probably want the XDC-4SO which uses SO-239 connectors. It is available from HRO and Gigaparts.
The good news is that it is a very good coupler, even by "lab grade" standards.
With an amplifier capable of greater than 500W output you will also want a 6dB attenuator between the coupled output of the XDC-4 and the radio.
