Sources for additional attenuators

You can buy a very nice kit from Mini Circuits, in either BNC or SMA form factor, that comes with a selection attenuators that can be put together in different combinations:

This is an example of one of the BNC kits:

However, an even better solution would be a fixed 10dB attenuator combined with a 1 to 10dB rotary step attenuator. They are always lots of relatively inexpensive rotary attenuators on eBay:

That way you can dial in to a dB exactly how much additional external attenuation you want/need.
