Switch SW7 under the ANAN 10 box

Postby Paco » Thu Feb 27, 2020 12:15 am

Hi all,

Through a small hole under the housing of ANAN 10, you can access a switch marked SW7.

No information is found on the documentation.

Anyone know the role of this switch?

Thank you.

That is the "Bootloader Switch".

If you need to load new firmware, you can make the unit boot up into the FPGA "Bootloader" image instead of the normal firmware image.

Hello Scott, thanks for reply.

Are you sure because this SW7 switch is located under the PA card ?

On the Hermes card, there is indeed J12 which we use to load the P2 firmware with HPSDRBootloader without problem, but then the ANAN 10 is not found on the network.

Back on P1, the ANAN 10 is recognized again.

I must be mistaken then, Paco. I was thinking you had a 10E, because I was unaware of any other -10 model with an externally accessible switch.

Also, I can find no evidence of the switch in the schematics: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=2335

It is indeed an ANAN 10, considering the FPGA ?
Cyclone III EP3C40Q240C8N

I believe that the ANAN 10E does not have the same FPGA. (??)

Yes, a different (smaller) FPGA on the 10E.
