DXLabs & Thetis

Postby NN3RP » Sat Feb 27, 2021 12:53 am

I am using DXLab for commanding Anan 7000dle MKII. It works for the main basic things; modes, bands. DXLab has some neat features such as sequences / sliders. I use those with Icom 7610 / 9700....basically, I don't touch these radios because DXLab Commander takes care of that with proper sequences / sliders created by means of CIVs that Icom uses.

I tried to use one of the sequences used by Flex 5000 series but, although it interfaces with 7000, it does not work as expected.

Is anyone here using DXLab and its sequences / sliders? Is there any CIV documentation anywhere?

There are certain times such as integrating to a HF-Auto to follow Thetis using the W1TR's middleware.

Leon--would you please edit the title of your first post to be more descriptive? Particularly because there are no CIV commands involved, it is all CAT command language. I'd suggest "DXLabs & Thetis".

Since this topic is about DXLabs setup moving it to the correct forum...

Without Thetis there is no radio. Too many people thing the box they bought from Apache Labs is an entire "radio". It is not. It contains the filters, the amps, and some switching, but its work begins and ends at the first and only IF, which is comprised of the data that streams over the Ethernet connection. Every other function between the first IF, the speakers and the microphone are performed in Thetis.

I changed the title accordingly.

I am fine in the way that I have it setup with DXLab. The sequences / sliders are not mandatory in my case as I can still use my Hercules DJ Control for the most items on Thetis. I just thought someone was doing them.

I will still look into the information provided.

Tks
