I guess I have a setup problem, but after many hours I have not been able to sort it.

The problem is as follows:-
1. Run HPSDR (v3.4.1 but occured on earlier versions as well) then start N1MM+ (latest version) part way through starting it will lock the PTT line ON
2. Going into N1MM+ Config>Config Ports..then OK will release the PTT.
3. If I untick the ENABLE CAT Box in HPSDR SetUp>CAT Control>CAT will also prevent the lock up as N1MM+ starts.
4. I have gone back through the releases of N1MM+ and find that the problem started after version 1.0.5327
I am running Win 10 but get the same effect with Win7. vspMgr provides the COM ports (had trouble getting this to work on W10)
VB provides the Audio Cables.

If the problem started with N1MM 1.0.5327 then it sounds like an N1MM problem and not a PowerSDR or VSPM problem. It would seem that N1MM is sending a CAT TX command immediately on startup. Have you contacted the authors of N1MM?

Yes I agree Scott, but as that version has been out several weeks I thought perhaps someone else using HPSDR and N1MM would have had
the same problem and perhaps have a work around.
I will wait a couple of days and see if anybody else has the problem. If they have, then I will put together a report for the N1MM developers.

Hi Geoff, as I can remember you must use only one method to ptt the rig, through the COM port or through DDutil. So if you are using the PTT com port in the Power SDR, don't use DDUtil. You can always use the front/rear panel ptt input if it is abled in the options menu. This is the most probable cause to stuck in ptt transmit using N1MM.

Just to round this off. I must have corrupted the N1MM s/w somehow. The answer is to delete N1MM and reinstall it, remembering to retain the Call History File; UserDefinedContests and Wav folders. Also your database files to copy into the new copy of N1MM.
Many thanks for the comments which spurred me on to finally crack this problem.
