Behringer Interface and CW Skimmer??

Postby LarryW » Sun Sep 26, 2021 3:58 pm

What is the best way to get CW Skimmer up and running while still using the audio interface.
Current using vac 1 with the Behringer 202HD. I would like to continue using this on receiver 1 and occasionally open receiver #2 for CW Skimmer.

Thanks

Larry,

If you have RX2 set up to use the same ADC as RX1 (ADC0), and you are willing to run RX2 to feed skimmer, then the solution is quite simple. Get yourself some virtual audio cable software, make the virtual cable connections between VAC2 and Skimmer, and skim away! Meanwhile VAC 1 continues to do what it's doing.

Looking at your previous posts, did you ever install Voicemeeter for live streaming? Voicemeeter is, IMHO, the best virtual audio software available.

If you are not familiar with setting up skimmer there are a number of topics about that on this forum:

I'd recommend setting it up for I/Q data at 192KHz.

Thanks for the reply Scott!
We have been very busy all summer and have just now had a chance to get back in the shack. I picked up a SunSDR 2dx and have been playing with it too.
Anyhow---- Yes I did get VM running but then left for the summer and you know what some say “use it or lose it". I also got rig of the Flex radio which was the go to rig to anything digital due it being very easy to get up and running.

Thanks
