I have a Black Version 7000DLE MKII. I’d like to be able to use 2 different amps (obviously, with only one powered on): one for 6 meters and one for 160-10m. DX ENG makes the item below. Anyone see any problems with this or should it work okay with an ANAN (I’ve learned it’s better to ask those more experienced than to assume.) Thanks, WR4N, David

That works but is overpriced. A rca switch box can be had much cheaper. You obviously won't be using all the connections.

I've also used a simple Y harness to split the ptt out between two amplifiers but you have to be careful about that. The switch is the safe bet. 73

Yes, totally agree, why not be 100% safe and just use a simple switch?
Here is an even less expensive version.

Thanks so much! I think this is the second simple solution I “borrowed” from you. lol. I guess with this unit just use the “OUT” for the ANAN and INPUT 1 for one amp and INPUT 2 for second amp!!! Love it!

That should do it.
Just be sure the relay current and voltage for each amp is safe for PTT out on the Anan.

I have 2 of the Ameritron Amplifier Transceiver Keying Interfaces (ARB-704) that I currently use. I had planned on putting one each in line for each amplifier. It makes the relay string a tad long - LOL - but should provide the same solid protection I’ve been enjoying. Would you agree?

That should be fine. I didn't know you were using the interface and you never know what kind of relay is in someone else's amplifier. Most use a small relay with a 12 vdc coil but some use 120 vac.
You can determine if you need the interfaces with a multimeter. First check the Anan manual to see what the max voltage and current the PTT OUT can handle is...I can't remember for sure.
Then fire up the amp and measure voltage on the PTT jack on the amp. Then switch the meter to measure current. When you put the leads on the PTT jack the amplifier will key and you will get a current measurement.
