ANAN 7000 DLE PTT on CW

Hello Experts,
some external keyers using a winkey chip (e.g. MicroHam) offer the option of generating a ptt signal during transmission. This signal does key the orion board (RX is muted an MOX is visible) BUT seems not to key the PA unit. Somehow strange.....
The switching of the PA seem only to be affected by the settings in PowerSDR. I have read some questions about this in the Yahoo forum, but never saw an explanation for this behaviour nor an answer at all.
My question:
Is this a fimware or a hardware issue?
Can this be modified?
If yes, is anybody willing to do this?
