Vac problem with windows creators update, creative soundcard solution.

Just a heads up and apologies if this is already covered. A few nights ago windows 10 gave an alert to say new software available, turned out it was creators edition update which completely screwed up my sound set up . After trying many options the solution was to uninstall my creative sound card and re install but making sure to use the driver directly from the creative website. Hopefully this will help someone else who encounters the same issue.

The Creator's update was not kind to many sound drivers. A similar thing happened to me: in my case I had to reinstall Voicemeeter Banana.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for the heads up on VB having to be reinstalled. I just did a save of all my parameters. I have Windows updates paused but the pause runs out on the 22nd so the update will auto load then and I'm sure I'll probably have to to a reinstall VB too.
