Anan 10 Headphone Jack Bad?

New (to me) Anan 10.

VAC audio works great.

Rear speaker jack works great.

Front panel headphone jack, while it feels firm and the plug seats correctly, has very low audio output even when master gain is up all the way, almost inaudible except on high peaks, and has a very bad "snapping" kind of sound distortion. The master audio gain and mute buttons in the software function.

What might be my problem?

Seems like a logical conclusion. Just to beat the most likely dead horse a little thinner, what type of headphones are you using? Standard 3.5mm TRS plug?

Ha, good question. I have tried two different headphones, one a Koss, one a Sennheiser, with the same results. Both use standard 3.5mm TRS plugs.

Well, you can do all the usual low likelihood things, like reset your PowerSDR database and reload the firmware in the radio, but it sure seems like the most likely think is a bad connector.
