Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues

Well Rob, I even had to get my brother involved in this as he has looked at such oddities over the years. It is related to the drop shadow of the form. Short story is that we now calculate the size of the shadow using DwmGetWindowAttribute and some jiggery-pokery related to operating system version...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues

Hi Richie, I still have the earlier 2.8.11 64-bit version installed and when compared on the desktop to the new 32-bit version (both opened up but not running) the difference in the GUI size with the same resolution setting was easily seen. I confirmed with my screen capture software that something ...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues

Hi Richie, The only anomaly that I noticed today with the new version is that the resolution scaling does not seem to be accurate when using the presets down in the lower left corner of the status bar. As an example, to make the GUI display as 1280 x 720 the setting in the status bar needs to be set...

Re: Thetis v2.8.11 - current issues

All button packs at the link below have been updated to support the Quick Recall Buttons and the 2TON button in Thetis version 2.8.11 21b. If you simply want to add the Quick Recall Buttons to any currently installed skin you can download this simple pack that will install only the buttons that Rich...

Re: 7000dle mkII - low output power

Hi Richie, I would agree with what Don mentioned above in the thread. This can be an indication of a filter that is not optimized for a particular band, or it could possibly be damaged. One pretty good tell is to look at the total current draw from the power supply when a band that can produce rated...

Wow! I love what Alex did here. It's very convenient to have the option to hit the Two-Tone test from the front panel and the PBB and CFC enable/disable ability is also really nice. Works fine!

Is it possible you have the windows display font setting changed to something other than the default? As I recall this will cause a fatal error that brings up a string of console errors when you launch PSDR or Thetis.

Re: Getting back on the air

Welcome back! Your best course would be to move to Thetis v2.8.11 which is the latest release. It's light-years ahead of the last PowerSDR mRX PS release which appears to be at end-of-life as far as any further development goes. Thetis version 2.8.11 will work with either protocol 1 or protocol 2 an...

Yep, just as Gary said, export a copy of your database save it as a backup in case you mess something up. Open your database.xml with notepad. Edit the entries in the Bandtext section as you wish and save it. Then copy and paste the entire Bandtext section of your database into a separate text file ...

Hi Mark, With the CFC voice processing suite in Thetis it's possible to take a very inexpensive mic and produce beautiful broadcast-quality audio or beastly DX audio without much fuss. Another skin release from Jeff - W2NBC. This one is my favorite. The menu items, buttons, sliders and grouped controls pop right out clearly. Notice the lighting effects in the Panadapter display as well as along the edges of the control panels. This one is a piece of art! You can download the W2NBC...

Hi Mark, The Rx Ant button doesn't actually switch anything off, it simply allows you to toggle between the Rx Ant that has been selected (from either ANT-2 or ANT-3) to the selected Tx Ant in the Antenna Control matrix. Jeff's implementation actually might make more sense than what has been done be...

Re: Thetis 2.8.11 ( 64 bit ) Power and signal level issues

I agree with Scott's comments Pierre. My move from v2.7.0_a3 to the 2.8.11 version went very smoothly. I did start with a fresh database provided by v2.8.11 but I had no problem exporting all my TX profiles from v2.7.0_a3 and then importing them directly into v2.8.11 32-bit and 64-bit. I use VAC to ...

Just being curious, I flipped the switch on my AL-82 and ran SSB mode with the amp set for CW mode. In CW mode the amplifier sets the pair of 3-500 tubes very close to cut-off. The short story is that Pure Signal corrected the amplifier without any issue. The tubes barely showed any color when runni...

The little square indicates that you are dropping frames. Go to the Display tab in setup and make sure that you switch to Direct X for your driver engine. You may find that you can set your refresh rate as high as 60 fps when Direct X is enabled. The panadapter and waterfall run much more smoothly w...

A little bug report with 2.7.0 a3: I just noticed that when you are on the HF bands, the HF buttons for the Andromeda "Set RX1 Band" panel work fine for all the bands, including the time standard frequencies, however, clicking on the SWL button brings up all the correct buttons but none of...
